\nI hope everyone is having a good semester so far. So, I think I am done with the lesson plan :-) I am going to post it to the lesson plan's page, replacing what is currently there. I think I have incorporated Bloom's taxonomy into the lesson so that we can use this lesson (if you want to) for our individual lesson we will have to post to livetext later for this class. \nSo, I was sitting in line at Starbucks thinking about what to do for Valentine's Day for my boyfriend, and I had an idea for us instead lol I don't know if you want to, but we could do a Valentine's Tthemed lesson plan, and I think I know how we can incorporate Social Studies, English, and Spanish. So, here's my idea: We start off by explaining to the students the history behind Valentine's Day, which Arielle could take, then from there have the students think of as many synonyms for romantic words, i.e. love, happiness, beautiful, which Monique and I could cover, then have those students find the equivalent of those words in Spanish, which DD could take. Then at the end of the lesson, the "students" could pick names out of a hat of their peers and write a nice Valentine to their fellow classmates. We could look for videos, crossword puzzles, pictures, in English and in Spanish, or even make some ourselves. I would be more than happy to be the final organizer of the wiki, and put all of our final stuff together and make it look pretty. This would also eliminate the need for us to really have to meet face to face, until we start to tackle the final.

\nI was thinking we could maybe choose a lower grade level and maybe teach the solar system and the planets. That way we could incorporate vocabulary terms in English and the names of the basic components in Spanish (sun and planets).

\nThen as far as the video, I have a cute but educational video about the solar system in Spanish. It is one of the videos out of a series of Spanish children songs, my son loves watching. This one is called "La canci\u00f3n de los planetas" (The Planets Song)
